Thanks for the poll. I have it turned on, I never turn it off. I want to run as much as a can with a limited user account, but remain effective at getting real work done in as efficient of a manner as possible. UAC is a happy medium for me.
Also, I'm a Linux user that has used and relied on the sudo system for years. This UAC approach just makes sense to me, and isn't a hassle at all in my eyes. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self-Built in July 2009 OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU Intel Q9550 2.83Ghz OC'd to 3.40Ghz Motherboard Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R rev. 1.1, F12 BIOS Memory 8GB G.Skill PI DDR2-800, 4-4-4-12 timings Graphics Card EVGA 1280MB Nvidia GeForce GTX570 Sound Card Realtek ALC899A 8 channel onboard audio Monitor(s) Displays 23" Acer x233H Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard ABS M1 Mechanical Mouse Logitech G9 Laser Mouse PSU Corsair 620HX modular Case Antec P182 Cooling stock Hard Drives Intel X25-M 80GB Gen 2 SSD

Switched on at default level because it isn't intrusive, security features get disabled if UAC is disabled and shark007 codec pack requires it to be enabled to function. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom OS 7 ultimate x64 CPU i7 920 @ 3.5ghz Motherboard P6t Deluxe Memory 6gb corsair dominator Graphics Card Gigabyte Geforce GTX 460 1GB SLI Sound Card onboard Monitor(s) Displays samsung BX2450 Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Logitech Classic Keyboard Mouse Logitech G500 PSU corsair tx750 Case CM HAF 922 Cooling coolermaster V8 + standard case fans Hard Drives Seagate 7200.11 1Tb; WD green EADS 1TB Internet Speed 256k :P |

I don't like UAC much, so mine is disabled, or sometimes partially on. On.
In all honesty, at first it was a nuisance to me & I hated it.
But over time I've grown used to it and it no longer bothers me. In fact, Im at the point I actually like it. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom (Self Build) OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit CPU Intel Core i7 2700k Motherboard eVGA P67 SLI Memory 8GB Mushkin Redline Ridgebacks @1866 Graphics Card EVGA GTX570 SC Sound Card XiFi Titanium HD Monitor(s) Displays LG W2453V Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Saitek Cyborg PSU Seasonic x750 Case Corsair 600T SE White Cooling eVGA Superclocked CPU Cooler Hard Drives Intel 320 80GB -- Intel X25-V 40GB --WD Black 1TB x2 -- WD Blue 640GB Antivirus Kaspersky Browser IE Other Info LG BD/DVD |

Mine's almost always on(level 3,w/o dimming the desktop), except when it interferes with proper installation of software, which happens rarely.
I admit, it was a bit annoying at first with all the nagging, but I've gotten quite used to it by now.

I have it on even though it is a pain at times.
Anyway for those who want to run certain programs without being nagged you can give this tutorial a try - Elevated Program Shortcut without UAC Prompt - Create.
It's what I use for Real Temp, CPU-Z, and a couple of other programs that generate UAC prompts. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Built by me OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 CPU Intel Core i7-950 (3.06GHz) OC to 3.8GHz Motherboard Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD5 rev 1, F6 Bios Memory 12 gig Corsair DDR3 Dominator GT Memory (3X 4GB) Graphics Card AMD Radeon HD6950 2gig (Sapphire) Sound Card X-Fi Titanium Fatality Pro Monitor(s) Displays HP ZR22w 22" LCD Monitor Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Keyboard Logitech Wireless Wave Mouse Logitech Performance MX PSU Antec Signature - SG-850 Case Cooler Master HAF X Cooling Noctua NH-C12P SE14 Hard Drives Primary - OCZ Vertex 4 SSD (256GB).
