How to remove Google Redirects or the TDSS, TDL3, or Alureon rootkit using TDSSKiller

    Some read about TDSS rootkit

    TDSS Rootkit Trojan behavior..etc..

    TDSS Rootkit Trojan and ComboFix

    Or you can try:

    - run SFC.EXE /SCANNOW from an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt
    - perform a Repair Install of Windows: Repair Install

If all fails then a full disc wipe may be needed and re-install windows.

i am having the exact same problem he described here:
he recent scene is when I try to run Windows Defender it shows the window just for a second and disappear.. then I downloaded the Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool ,when I double click on it, it shows self extracting but doesn't run.. no error reports and nothing just not running..
I also had the redirecting problem, but i think i fixed it thanks to tdss killer. Any ideas?

Can you explain me how to do it please..? :):)

That is a real nasty one.

Can you do a scan outside the windows environment? Kindly refer to HELP!Virus redirects to spam sites and other stuff post it contains some relevant information you may want to consider.

I see you used the Flash scan of MBAM. Have you did a full scan?

ESET Online scan, HitmanPro, RKill, Dr.WebLive USB/CD..etc are mentioned in that particular post. Can you consider that also?

Do you have a clean system image backup? If yes, then you might wanna consider recovering with it.

Or as mentioned, you can consider:

    - run SFC.EXE /SCANNOW from an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt
    - perform a Repair Install of Windows: Repair Install
If all else fails, well, consider doing as stated by StalKer in that particular post

Hello there. If you want to remove all from Windows follow this tutorial.
Secure Erase / Wipe : Definition and Methods
    Then re-install windows.

    Goodluck :)
