Hi yeabuddy,
I am very happy with my NIS 2011 (NIS 2012 will be coming out very soon, by the way, and as a customer of Norton 2006 or later products, you can upgrade for free to the latest version with a current subscription). I also have the free version of Malwarebytes installed alongside NIS 2011.
And yes, Norton removes tracking cookies. It offers you three ways to handle cookies: you can have them automatically removed, ignored, or you can have Norton ask you.
If you have any other antivirus program already installed on your computer, please remove it with the
vendor's removal tool (available at the vendor's website) before installing NIS 2011.
