    AVG Updates gags applications

A dodgy AVG update over the weekend left users with crippled iTunes installations.
The faulty signature update meant iTunes.dll and iTunesRegistry.dll library files were falsely labelled as infected with the Small-BOG virus, and consigned into quarantine. As a result, AVG both prevented iTunes from working and the re-installation of Apple's software.

I feel sorry for anyone still using AVG after the amount of "faulty signatures" they have had screwing up peoples machines over the last two years

At my shop, we included AVG in all new machines and almost all re-format re-installs. Until 8.x

Although, I paid AVG to do the iTunes fubar.

The worst of all - the informed.

Not all information is useful, valid or applicable. Like 'disable paging of kernel' et al.
