Generic Credentials?

Hello guys recently I had an issue remoting into a win 7 pro laptop that I couldn't figure out so I ended up reinstalling the OS because I had gotten this laptop from a friend who used it for school but bought a new laptop. Anyway it was acting up so I decided I'd start from scratch because he used for earning his certs he cluttered it up with a lot of labs and other software that was not needed by me. But when I was troubleshooting the remote desktop I would keep getting a warning "The certificate is not from a trusted certifiying authority". And after reinstalling the os on the laptop I am able to remote in, but I still keep getting the untrusted warning. How do I remedy this? Also while looking in the Credential Manager I noticed the Generic Credentials has a account that keeps repopulating despite removing it from the vault. The username always starts with "02avqhbjpfnh" with a blocked out password. When I researched this people were saying this had something to do with Windows Live Mail. Has anyone here seen this? Can anyone verify that this is some windows live mail credential?

The warning is notifying you that the certificate is not from a trusted vendor like Verisign. In this case, a self-signed certificate that does not confirm the identity of the one who possesses it. The Generic Credentials you are seeing is most likely Remote Desktop if you are saving the authentication details of the remote system.
