Windows 7 - Windows 7 Home Premium administrator forgotten password

| | Windows 7 Home Premium administrator forgotten password Hello. My friend has a laptop with Windows 7 home premium and forgot the admin password. When: - I switched to safe mode it also asked me for password - couldn't switch to command panel because it also ask for admin pass - in windows xp there could be ctr +alt +del and i could type administrator and login but in windows 7 it does not work. Cannot reset the password in any way, is there any way to reset the password without re-installing the new windows? |

| Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1, LinuxMint 9 LTS x64, Debian 6, Ubuntu 10.04 LTS x64 | Why not just logon as the standard user? From the Desktop, if you hit CTRL+ALT+DEL, you do get the option to change the password.....of course you need to know what the old password was in the first place. Regards, Golden |
