Windows 7: i need help on my computer programs dont want to open up

i was on my computer and i opened my antivirus (name of antivirus is avast) and i did a compture virus scan and something came on the screen saying found virus or something like that and it showed me 3 things that where virus and i deleted them and now i cant open up any program only thing i can open up are some folders and my internet explorer. help me some one

If so, first download Unhide.exe (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/grinler/unhide.exe) (by Grinler)
Once the program has been downloaded, double-click on the Unhide.exe icon on your desktop and allow the program to run. This program will remove the +H, or hidden, attribute from all the files on your hard drives. If there are any files that were purposely hidden by you, you will need to hide them again after this tool is run."

Next, download DDS from one of these links:

• Disable any script blocking protection
• Double click the dds icon to run the tool.
• When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
  1. DDS.txt
  2. Attach.txt <--- will be minimized in the task tray
• Save both reports to your desktop.

Include the contents of both logs in your next post.
The scan will instruct you to post Attach.txt as an attachment.

After seeing 2 other threads on the same thing here in just a few hours, it looks like Avast is mentioned in each one. Seems it might be Avast, or it's definitions causing corruption.
