Can not start Microsoft Security Essentials

When I try to start MSE I receive a message telling that the service can't be started either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.

Have you tried un-installing/re-installing?

Hi all, Just lately I have noticed that evertime I login to my Windows 7, Microsoft Security Essentials is telling me that I may be potentially unprotected! This never used to happen....I scan my pc and it always comes back clean..... just getting this potentially unprotected warning everytime...
