    Microsoft Security Essentials 1.0 Beta?

I've been using Microsoft Security Essentials 1.0 since the day it was officially launched (Connect Beta Tester). I have been getting maybe 3 to 5 Updates daily if I manually checked for them but the updates would always be 5 hours behind from the time I checked for them to show up on Windows Update or through MSE Update mechanisms. The last Definitions Update I have received was on August 7th at 4:46PM (1.63.1134.0)...after that? NOTHING a whole day with NO updates and it is 1:02AM here now where a new Midnight Update is usually expected but still nothing. Is Microsoft readying the Release Candidate for MSE or something? I check Connect and I still get the Beta download.

What is the timeline for MSE anyway? June 2009 for Beta>RC?>RTM?

I guess that's normal. many AV updates itself 3-5 times a day. September was supposed to be the launch month.

The beta has stopped for now. Wait for about a month or so, and the official launch will be near.

Well Ive just had a 2nd questionnaire for testing:

    Dear Beta User,
Thank you for joining the Microsoft® Security Essentials Beta. We hope you found Security Essentials to be easy to install and use.
As part of the Microsoft® Security Essentials Beta, we would like to hear about your overall experience regarding Security Essentials by taking a short survey at: https://connect.microsoft.com/securi...?SurveyID=9218

Thanks again for participating in the Microsoft Security Essentials Beta.

While I was excited about this I have to say I removed it from my pc and ive never been happier!

Using this on X64 has caused more weird problems for me after multiple installations. Yes it's a beta but when operating with a new system and trying to work out the kinks adding another BETA on top of that especially one that touches everything is asking for madness.

I was getting lockups, crashes, and other little issues until I removed it. Now Im using ESET and im happy as a pig in mud..
