    Bitlocker Problem

I wasnt sure where to put this thread.. Hopefully its in a decent spot lol. So I encrypted a RAID 1 HD that is 1TB large. took over 12 hours. I went to check my PC after I woke up and it said Encryption complete, with a Close button. I clicked close. I went to check the HD to make sure the encryption was working, it showed the drive as locked but when I went to open it it opened.. So I logged out of windows and logged back in, it just shows the drive as unlocked.. How do I lock it. I checked the Bitlocker manager and there is no option.

    (UPDATE)

So I tried a restart which worked, it locked the drive. However logging off still wont lock the drive. I assume there is no way around this? If not, is anyone familiar with Truecrypt? will that program allow for locking on the fly?

    (ANOTHER UPDATE) lol

Ok I figured it out upon looking through forums. There is a command you can use "manage-bde -lock x:" x being the drive you wish to lock. Problem sovled!

For those who need guidance do the following: Click start/Run, Type CMD then press enter. copy and paste this ---> manage-bde -lock x: just replace the x with the letter of the encrypted drive you wish to lock.

Hello everybody, I'm new in this Forum and I have a Problem with bitlocker. After the installation when I try to access Windows 7 this error appear any time:

This disk has one or more errors. Run "chkdsc/r". If these errors persist this may be indicative of a hardware fault. Contact the administrator of your system.

    Anyone could help me?

    Thank you.

Not a bitlocker problem IMHO, but rather a HD problem.. The chkdsk /r they want you to run is to repair the problem.

As usual be sure to backup before running the chkdsk

Im not sure what you mean by light get off or light was offed but in order to decrypt a successfully encrypted drive you must go to Control Panel\Bit Locker Drive Encryption, then click on Unlock Drive, (enter the password) then click on turn off bitlocker.
