Windows 7: Report all downloads to text message

Report all downloads to text message

Does such a thing exist?

This is a new family desktop, and one of our users (12 year old) has an issue downloading games and things. I can set the firewall to not allow him to download anything without admin password of course, but somebody in the house will tell him the password eventually.

So that leads me to just knowing what he's downloaded, and knowing about it relatively quickly. Even dispatching an email is better than nothing. Can I find this in windows firewall maybe?

Hi welcome to the forum. you want to see what your son is downloading well you can always monitor the download history but that can be easily deleted along with browsing history. I guess your best bet would be to use some parental control program to block inappropriate website from visiting. Lets face it not every download is bad or dangerous. if you are worried about your son can be downloading game from torrent site (where he can get infected by malware) then its best to block torrent site altogether if he can't to to those site he won't be able to download those thing. If i may suggest you can look into opendns. It can block content very effectively.
