    Microsoft Firewall error/not working

On to the new thread. I am having a problem getting firewall to start. There are 2 pic attachments. But after 21 restarts of the pc, there has been no change in the process of getting this program to run. Hope this is a little help. NO CLEAN INSTALL is going to be done. Anything else to hopefully work around. 2xg has been a real big help.

    Hello bizzed

Sound's like a maleware infection. Run Malwarebytes : Free anti-malware, anti-virus and spyware removal download and tell me what happened.

    Or try this here http://blogs.technet.com/b/asiasupp/...base-list.aspx

Please post a link to the thread that you had help from 2xg.
We can then see what help has been offered thus far.

Why will a Clean Install NOT be considered if necessary?

Attached is the link to my previous thread. As for the pics are from what i ran thru last time- first pics is before quarantine and deletion and second pic is for the second time i ran it after a restart. Should I still run a malware? I should say that a CLEAN INSTALL is only if necessary - as I do not want to go thru loosing everything if that is the case. Let me know if that would be the case. Thanks

    2. Please verify you use Avast, SuperAntiSyware & Windows firewall for your computer protection.

    3. As suggested by NObOdy above.

There is no Norton, McAfee, Zone Alarm or anything on here but Avast!, SUPERAntiVirus & Microsoft Security Essentials. I am working on the malware program now. Will let you know soon what it shows.

So you are running MSE as well as Avast?

If so, our generic message is...

It is NOT a good idea to have two Anti Virus programs running on your Operating System at the same time.
Conflicting programs slow your computer & may create crashes, freezes etc
    More is NOT best.

It would be advisable to remove one of them via the appropriate uninstall tool.

Hi bizzeb, sorry if it took me a little while to respond, not feeling so well tonight.

Anyway, can you see if you're able to Restore the Windows Firewall back to the default setting?
Any type of configurations that you have done will be lost.
    Restore Windows Firewall settings

Also, is your Avast an Anti-Virus or a Security Software?
Let's uninstall Avast for now and leave MSE and SuperAntiSpyware, I agree that you're not suppose to have diff AV or Security Software running. Please use this Utility Tool to uninstall Avast completely.
