Go to kaspersky.com.They have a comparison chart there that will answer your question.

In the column for Personal & Family Security click on Kaspersky Pure Total Security. You will see a chart with an overview of each of the two softwares in question.

I have KIS and am very satisfied with it. Previously I used Norton which has improved dramatically in recent years and its customer service is the best. After each contact with Norton's customer service they send you a questionnaire asking you to rate the service provided.

I switched to KIS only because its just as effective, IMO, and its much cheaper.

the biggest differences between the two products are that pure includes a backup element and a password manager - if you don't have another backup solution (and you should!), then pure is a good choice for you.

pure is also more expensive - you pays your money and you takes your choice.

personally, I use KIS and have been for several years, as i use macrium for backups and keepass to look after my passwords, so i don't need the extra 'bloat' of pure.
