Microsoft security essentials not removing adware!

hi!

MSE found an adware that is Adware:JS/Pornpop.A and when i set the recommendation to remove the file it showed as removed.But when i checked the file by going to

Items:
containerfile:C:\Users\mahesh\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Cache\f_0006a3
file:C:\Users\mahesh\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Cache\f_0006a3->(SCRIPT0004)

the file still exists.It had not removed the file.I had to manually delete the file.Can you tell me as to why it didn't remove the file.

Best course of action would be to download Malwarebytes Anti Malwarebytes http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free. Install and update MBAM and do full scan of your system.Check whatever infections it finds,remove the infection and reboot your pc.Let us know how it goes.

hi!

I did a full scan of the system using MAM but did not find any issues at all.But MSE found this which said it is infected and chose the recommended action to remove the file and showed as removed.But when i went the google chrome cache the file was still present there.Don't know why it didn't remove the file.

Try to clear chrome cache by going to preferences-Under the Hood-clear browsing data-empty the cache.Afterwards try to scan with MSE.
