Viruses in winsxs and massive data hogging, need help

Hey, i'm already pretty frustrated with this and full norton doesn't seem to be able to do all that much. i have over 24gigs in winsxs folder and norton only catches the tojans but they come back everytime i restart my computer, which runs really slow. mainly most of them get quarantined but the most reoccurring one is winupd.exe and winsxs.exe both are protected by that stupid trusted downloader program and i even changed the security of both file groups to make me the owner but trusted downloader still effs me over lol.

Can anyone help? my back up was in an external but my friends broke it.

If you can get access to a Live Linux CD (e.g. Ubuntu) you should be able to delete those files.
Linux ignores Windows security settings.

Massive Data Breech on PlayStation Network
Read rest of story here. Looks like this is about as bad as it can get. If you have an account on there I recommend password changes to anywhere you may have reused it, probably give your CC company a ring too.

Process: searchsetting.exe hogging CPU
I recently noticed that one of my internet computer's (Duo Core) CPU was red-lining much of the time and responses obviously became much slower. The Task Mgr "Processes" revealed that a process named "searchsetting.exe" was using over 50% of the CPU. When I "end the process", the CPU usage...

MP11 hogging serious resources.
After solving my WMP homegroup "play to" problems (seen here) rather easily, there's one thing I'm noticing as a drawback. Every so often - and whenever I launch WMP, WMC, or browse any of my media libraries - a process called wmpnetwk.exe takes off and hogs some serious CPU and RAM. (Along the...
