It is worth doing a full scan at least once a month. Hopefully it will never pick up anything but you can never be sure.

Keep an eye on your Logs as they will grow a lot depending on your settings. MBAM has three types of logs.

The 1st line shows results for each Flash Scan.
The 2nd line shows results for each Quick Scan.
The 3rd line shows a daily log for the operations of MBAM, Protection status, Updates and Scans.

You need to check them from time to time and delete the old ones.

There is an option to clean them in CCleaner. I think you need the extensions pack.

It's called CCEnhancer and adds extra areas to clean. You can download it here. |MG| CCEnhancer 2.5.1 Download

I regularly check the scan logs to make sure no malware was found before deleting the logs.
Does anyone know for sure if any malware found will always be displayed in the Quarantine tab?
If I knew I could just look there, I could ignore the logs.
I don't know of a way to get notified if malware is detected, without manually looking...

I'm not sure what happens if you check this.

I leave it unchecked. I think there is a popup if it finds anything but I can't confirm that.

OK, thanks.

I have that checked - thinking i want anything found quarantined ASAP.
I've never had any malware found, so I'm just not sure how it really works.

Me neither (fingers crossed). The only thing I get is the occasional balloon popup from the real time scan blocking an IP address.

I don't have CCEnhancer and I have the option to clean Malwarebytes logs under applications/utilities.

I only have entries in line 2 from your example. I run the free edition.

Set up Malwarebytes PRO
How often should I setup MBAM PRO to scan and how often should I change my antivirus to scan? I scan using my antivirus every day since I am delusional that I might get a infection. Side note: I finally will get to start using the software that I reccomend but don't use. Yippee!!

Malwarebytes
Due to a shrinking wallet, I am switching from pay programs to free ones whenever possible. I went to the download site for Malwarebytes. There was a free program and a pay one. I downloaded the free one and it appears it is a Trial Program. I was under the impression Malwarebytes was a free...

MSE vs Malwarebytes
I see that people often recommend doing a full scan with MBA. Is MBA better than MSE (talking about the full scans). If so, how much better?

Malwarebytes
Hi good folks. Today after 1 year I downloaded the latest version on Malwarebytes and did a scan. My system was clean. I have been using MSE and avast for the past year. Never had a virus or malware in that time to report. However, avast had blocked me from a few sites which I decided to concur...
