I have used both and I find that the free version only lacked one nice feature and that is a flash scan feature which is amazingly fast. Otherwise the two are more similar then different. If you can find the full (pro) version on sale then I would suggest it otherwise just run the free version. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number A blend of brains, brawn and dumb luck ! The paid version protects in real time, has a scheduler, updates automatically, and has a malicious web site blocker.
If you look around with Google, you can probably find a discount coupon for the paid version. It is a lifetime license. I went to the paid version a couple of years ago and have no regrets. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Ignatz Special; 4 speed manual gearbox; factory air conditioning; one of one OS Windows 7 SP1, Home Premium, 64-bit CPU Intel Sandy Bridge i5-2500, not overclocked Motherboard Gigabyte H67A-UD3H-B3, full ATX Memory 4 GB Crucial DDR3-1333 Graphics Card none; graphics are integrated on CPU Sound Card onboard: Realtek ALC892; external: USB Behringer UF0-202 Monitor(s) Displays NEC 90GX2-BK 19" LCD Screen Resolution 800 x 640 Keyboard Leopold Tenkeyless with Cherry Blue switches, USB Mouse Logitech or Microsoft optical wired; either USB or PS 2 PSU Seasonic SS-560KM, modular Case Antec Solo II Cooling CPU: Scythe Big Shuriken; Case: Scythe Slipstream 800 & 500 Hard Drives System: Intel 320 Series SSD, 80 GB;

it is v good; some might think the paid is overkill; it can be very fastidious in blocking everything it thinks in its database might be harmful; some might say that's good lol. | My System Specs | | OS Windows XP - Now Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit). |

Many thanks in advance. Good program Malwarebytes...
Paid versus Free?

Here is a good deal on Malwarebytes Pro $13.99 Newegg.com - Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Lifetime
The Pro license is good for life but can only be used on 1 PC at a time but can be moved to another PC. I have it running in realtime with NIS 2012 and it works great. I have it set to check for updates every 3 hours and after and update it runs a Flash Scan. I also have it run a Quick Scan once a Month.
EDIT: I see you are in the UK so check this price. The first one is marketed by DSOLUTION and they supply the support under contract with Malwarebytes. The 2nd one has free shipping so the price is about the same. http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_...re%2Caps%2C281

Just a warning.
