MSE flags as malign

Bonkers Microsoft Security Essentials flags as malign

A dodgy update to Microsoft's anti-virus software on Tuesday meant users of the software were wrongly warned that Google's homepage was infected with the infamous Blackhole Exploit Kit.
You really couldn't make it up...

Thats great! And it would explain why I had back-to-back updates on both my computers for MSE. I did think it was suspicious

Just curious to know in "about flags" there is an option "override software rendering" - enabling GPU rendering on unsupported system configuration. Just curious what exactly this does? Doesn't IE9 use GPU rendering on all pages as well by default? Thanks
