MSE claims not run lately AFTER a scan While during my weekly checks and updates on my PC I found that MSE says it has not run lately. I ran a scan (twice) but get the same results.
Any help and or suggestions with this problem? | My System Specs |

You are welcome.
I would also suggest that you set MSE to do a daily quick scan - primarily to have it get the updates each day before the scan. You can throttle the CPU usage to 10%. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Employer provided Dell E6430 OS W7 Pro SP1 64bit CPU i5 3320M @ 2.6GHz Motherboard 0CPWYR Memory 4GB Graphics Card Intel HD Graphics 4000 Screen Resolution 1600 x 900 Hard Drives 119GB LITEONIT SSD Antivirus Employer mandated Symantec Endpoint Protection Browser Firefox, IE9 & IE8 via VM |

I have it set to run every night at 2 am. However this morning when I turned on the PC, I had a "red" MSE home page that stated that MSE needed to be "Turned On". The last run time showed just after I reinstalled it, not at 2 am this morning.
Something's not right! Will have to do more research. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom OS Win 7 HP 64bit w/SP1 CPU AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ Motherboard Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. Not only is it glitchy, it doesn't detect risks as well as many other alternatives.
I've actually tested it on infected archives, and it missed a dozen viruses that NOD32 bagged. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom built machine OS W7 x64 CPU Intel Q9300 2.5Ghz Quad LGA775 (Would like Q9650) Motherboard Gigabyte GA-EP45T-UD3R (F6 Bios) Memory 4Gb OCZ Gold 1,333Mhz Graphics Card Palit HD4850 O/C Sonic 512Mb DDR3, Dual DViD's Sound Card Azalia to twin Samson 50w Studio Monitors Monitor(s) Displays Twin Dell (E-IPS) U2311H 23.6" Screens Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz Keyboard Cherry PS/2 custom model Mouse Lenovo USB laser "Thinkpad" Mouse PSU OCZ 600w Case Lian-Li PC8 acoustifoamed' aluminium tower Cooling Scythe 140mm Zipang Hard Drives Crucial M4 SSD, archives on twin Western Digital Caviar Black WD2002FAEX, 2TB, 7200rpm HDD's, Samsung Ritemaster CD/DVD Burner... I agree. This is why each night I run SuperAntiSpyware, MBAM, SpyBot and Crap Cleaner. Nothing gets everything. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom OS Win 7 HP 64bit w/SP1 CPU AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ Motherboard Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. I haven't used MSE in a year or so but had a similar problem. Do an uninstall, then go to C:/Program Data/Microsoft and see if it still has some MSE files left over and delete them. Then re-install.

Are you by any chance running CCleaner? If so, you need to uncheck the Windows Defender & MS Antimalware boxes found under the Applications tab. This was a similar problem in a couple posts a while back and that was the solution. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell Hell oh Well OS Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit CPU Intel Core 2 Duo 2.93GHz Memory Not much with my ADHD Graphics Card ATI Radeon HD 4350 Monitor(s) Displays I have one...It's bright.
