I have stopped using Spyware Blaster after seeing its footprint in the Registry. The other programs that I gave up for similar reasons are IncrediMail, Norton Anti-Virus and ZASS. On my machine Avast Free A-V takes 3188 K, Comodo free takes 2956 K and Malwarebytes takes 81908 K of memory. Thankfully Malwarebytes is not running all the time in the background.

I think this is paranoia and hangover from the past on my part when I used to work with 4 megs of RAM.

SypwareBlaster is a good program & prevents the installation of spyware and other potentially unwanted software!

    The 4 Principles used are

    > Must not interfere with what you do

    > Must co-exist peacefully with other software

    > Must be simple to use, powerful, and effective

    > Is free.

I use it here & recommend it.
