Poll: Which type of antivirus do you use, recommend? Hi all,
I recently installed Windows 7 Final after i got the iso from my school-provided msdn account, but while i was searching through other software, I noticed Microsoft Forefront Client Security. I downloaded and installed it in place of Avast! antivirus, which i had been using for years.
My question is: as a student here, i have free access to Microsoft Forefront and McAfee antivirus, as well the free version of Avast!; Which software do you recommend i run, and why?

You didn't even add NOD32 to the list?
BTW, from the above list, Avast FTW. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Compaq OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU Intel core 2 duo T 5550 @ 1.83 GHz Motherboard Intel 965 express mobile chipset Memory 3 GB DR 2 @ 667 MHz Graphics Card Onboard with approx 512 MB RAM Sound Card Onboard Monitor(s) Displays 15"4 inch widescreen Hard Drives 160 GB SATA WD. I picked Forefront since I use Microsoft Security Essentials 1.0 with Windows Firewall.

I've got to say, i used avast for years and it never failed me, but then again most people that are smart about their internet habits can probably avoid viruses.
But one thing i do like about Microsoft Forefront is that it idles at 6MB of ram, and when running a full scan it takes ~6MB of memory and at most 5% of my CPU load.
However, i can't speak for the other programs specifically, but i do know that avast uses around ~30MB of memory, and McAfee is a hog last time i checked. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell Inspiron 1545 OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 CPU Intel Pentium Dual-Core T4500 @ 2.3GHz Motherboard Intel 4 Series Mobile Chipset Memory 4GB DDR2 800 Graphics Card Intel Integrated Graphics Sound Card Integrated Monitor(s) Displays 15.4" Screen Resolution 1366x768 Hard Drives 320 GB Western Digital Scorpio Black
