    IMO Windows 7 native FW .. you cant get more compatible than that .. Comodo, ESET also make excellent products... In the end, you will need to asses your needs and decide which one to use...

    I don't know about best, haven't tested them all, but private firewall works well, and it's free.

    Avast! Home Edition


    I can't believe nobody's mentioned Avast! It's completely compatible with 7 and It's an excellent product that's FREE! It's better than some of the paid ones to be honest!
