    virus protector


    ok my friend downloaded malwarebytes anti malware and hes got a virus he thinks its that software but i also recommended secruity essentials becuse thats the one is use which one is better??

    malwarebytes free is just a scanner and doesn't offer real time protection (i.e. active scanning) unless you purchase the pro version.

    Security Essentials has been fine for me. I always run a Malwarebytes scan every few weeks just to be sure though.

    No Anti-Virus will catch 100% of viruses as they are constantly evolving and more being released each day.

    Your friend can use both Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes.

    I think everybody is using both of them :)
