Hi Everyone, I have just had my Computer infected with PC Defender Plus. I was infected a couple of years ago with this "ripoff" scam, Malware. Can't remember how I was instructed to remove it. I can't get to boot in safe mode or access the internet. (using my laptop now).

    Any advice appreciated. Thanks

I Can't. The PC Defender Pus stops any progs working. I can't use the F8 key or msconfig to get into safe mode.

    Try Windows Defender Offline

    Windows Defender Offline

    OR a bootable AV disk

Yup I agree with A Guy. If it is not allowing you to install any AV, try a bootable disk and run a full scan.

    Thanks Guys,

I run defender Offline (I have it on a CD). Can't update the virus remover as the Internet is blocked. I did have a CD boot disk if not I will see if I can get one from the web site you gave me. By the way I did try to run a virus remover from a USB drive..No go! These are smart rotten parasites. I saw Adobe update for Flash on the Screen I was silly enough to click OK and now I have PC Defender plus irt must have been disguised as an Adobe product. So no luck yet.

I guess a clean reinstall is needed at this time.
