But as I think I said I find the 1st link choice useless (to me. I'm sure it's useful to many) And as for the 2nd link that was very helpful--I'm so glad I found that info. However, at the same time it does not control the 2 programs I have that pop up on a boot or when I open for ex. the registry. And these were the ones I was mainly concerned with. Thanks again

You're welcome. Creating and using a shortcut from the first link would be a good option for those as well. You could replace those startup items with the shortcut instead.

If you prefer to never get a UAC prompt, then you could either turn off UAC or elevate your current user type administrator account (not the built-in one) to be just like the built-in Administrator account. Please read the warning at each link since either option is really not recommended since it reduces the security of your system.

I've read that you can avoid the prompt by creating a scheduled task to launch the program instead of using the typical launch methods. Never tried it, so cannot tell you how. Although I'm pretty sure I read it on this forum.

Yep, you sure could also use the second link along with the tutorial below to run the task at startup instead.

You're a godsend. I was thinking along these same lines except since I don't have your knowledge I am not sure how to do this--use the shortcut for the startup items.
The way I have it now is one of the programs (Everything.exe- my windows7 search replacer) has a shortcut. And clicking on this shortcut has no UAC popup BUT this same software is one of the ones, that still has UAC pop-up on boot.

You could check using the tutorial below to see if that program at boot is referenced at any of the startup locations in the tutorial. If so, then you could change to use the shortcut created from the first link.

I have installed Warhammer Online and it works fine but whenever I go to start it up I get this annoying window that says "Do you want the following program to make changes to this computer". How can I turn this so it doesn't do this everytime I start up Warhammer?
