I would use what isused and approved by many in this forum MSE and Malwarebytes. You will be very safe and happy with that combitnaiton.

Personally I would not use cyberfender.

So I've tried some of those "free" anti-virus programs, they seemed to slow my system down. When I heard how great Cyberdefender was (from my neighbor), I was a little hesitant because of it starting with a free download, but I decided to try it anyway. I tried it, and i liked it. I like that it's fast, has a clear user interface and it deals with trojans, spyware and viruses, all in one download. I did have to pay for the full verison to remove viruses, cause the scan only was free, but it was worth it. i got a few other bells and whistles, to include the my identity toolbar and 24/7 support. It's been a great investment. I'm glad I tried it cause now I feel safe whenever any of my family members use the computer.

    cyberdefender and windows 7

I too am using Cyberdefender with windows 7-I use it with all of my PC's and after getting a Trojan virus with my desktop that crashed my hard drive I am very picky with my virus protection- I would never leave my PC deffended by and "Free" virus protection. I was using Mcaffee when I got the Trojan virus. But today I got a message saying Cyberdefender is not reporting to windows in a language it can understand-anyone else get a message like this and if so know how to fix it? Thanks.

Looks to me like we have several forum spammers.

Personally, I would take the advice of Microsoft MVP Steve Burns: hpHosts Blog: CyberDefender: Want your money back? Forget it!.

The full story is in this thread at Icrontic Forums: Strange Virus Fixed but I wonder if I did the right thing.... The person, Katana, providing the help is also a Microsoft MVP.

currently trying to get some money back from the myself. I think MY HUSBAND bort a 12mth free subscription (still trying to get a copy of our original 'agreement'). He have them our credit card no and they have been charging it ever since 2002 or so. And my hubby is a shocker at checking his bloody credit card statement. So hence, they don't want to refund. so I am attempting to go thru my bank, coz they wdnt have had a current credit card expiry for about 6 years. So I have just browsed any forums to find out any info that might be out here in cyberspace. Cheers
