    Help stopping UDP/Ddos attacks

I am a leader in a BF3 gaming clan. Recently we have had some strange activity on our US gaming servers/Procon server. They have been crashing and become seemingly unreachable for hours. Last night, while in game, there was a player who broke the rules, so I warned him, he then threatened to "burn my server". So then I banned him. While I had Procon up, I realized there was another user with the same region flag and that user made the same threat. As soon as I attempted to ban that user, all 5 US servers died. The Procon, also died. All 5 servers and the Procon were unreachable for 3 - 5 hours.

Any ideas on how to stop this?

Gaming servers are on Wolf's network, Procon is on another.

My knowledge in this is poor but take a look through this: Preventing DDoS Attacks. What OS is the server running?

Thanks Stephen, I'll read over that when I get back to my PC. As far as the OS on the servers, I'm not really sure. We just use a remote login with load, stop, start, restart, and update settings. I will email Wolf and ask them. Thanks for your response.
