| | If an antimalware program finds a suspicious file, that file is usually placed in quarantine to give the computer owner an opportunity to determine if the file is a danger or not. | | Quarantined files are the files that are suspected as infected by a Malware Detection Program and placed in a special zone that is isolated from the rest of the computer so that these files do not infect the other non-infected files. This special zone is called quarantine by most programs or the vault by some of them. The quarantined files can be safely deleted. |
