btw, if you have Malwarebytes Pro now and upgrade to Premium, your lifetime license stays intact.
If you purchase it now it is only for 1 year and you have to renew after one year.
Malwarebytes is running a special now if you get it right now it is $19.99 and you can put it on 3 pcs but again it is only for one year.
You can still find some 1 PC Lifetime licenses, but I would guess not too much longer.

NewEgg has the download version of Pro with a lifetime license on sale again for $15. a person would have to be nutz not to stock up at this price. Don't let the fact it doesn't have a disk deter anyone. A disk would be out of date anyway and one would have to download the latest version.
I had a problem on one compute when doing the rootkit and no problems on the other computer doing the same thing. I don't know why but I will try it again.
The stalling problem; their is a work around that worked for me.
When the scan sits for a long time doing nothing just tick the pause button and then start the scan up again. It stalled on some picture on my computer.
I am trying the work around now.I will let you know if it works for me too.
Edit
Apparently the pause workaround does not work every time.

I run the scan on the trouble computer just a few minutes ago and it stopped on:
Windows\Web\Wall Paper Scenes\img29.jpg for 15 min.
It will probably be on your computer. It comes with Windows I think.
When you see the picture you will understand why it takes so long to scan it.
When the scan completed it found this.
Trojan: Boaxxe in file x86 asus aasp 1.01.02 pow nap.dll
I'm going to do more investagating. I scan the pictures and found no problem after removing the Trojan.
