There is a new MBAM 1.75.0.1200 BETA available, release date 01 April 2013.

Changes in build 1.75.0.1200 - Fixed 2 issues with archive scanning
Source: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.75 Beta - Malwarebytes Forum

I installed it and no problems so far (I did not have any problems with the 1.75.0.1100 BETA).
The link in Post #1 is the correct link for the new BETA - only difference is the release date...

It's always the trial version until you enter your activation key.

Sorry I didn't quite think that through before typing, if you are just installing the free version and don't want to try the real time protection for the months free trial then there is a tick box to untick when you first run the install, IMO it's worth just letting the trial run and just let the realtime protection expire at the end of the trial leaving the free product.

  • Do not start the free trial of MalwareBytes, unselect that option when prompted.

  • Update and make full scans with both separately.
