I went back to v1.75 sometime ago because of problems of 2 different PCs. I might try the very latest version when they drop v1.75 definition file updates. If it plays up then I'll drop Malwarebytes.
However, it's not fair for me to be too critical when using free software!
True when it is free you cannot criticize too much. But I paid for it.

    Free software ?
Is that like "near beer" I don't believe Andrew is using the free version of mbam :/

Could be the anti exploit combo ?
I never saw the need for it,
I scanned for rootkits once with a full scan and that should be enough for a while,
Otherwise what's the point in using the pro/ premium version if your scanning all of the time or once a day... ssd thrashing

I have found when doing a Hyper Scan it is picking up PUP's and that is good.
To me that means one can do a Hyper Scan after downloading something and see if any little buddies came along for the ride. It doesn't take long to do a Hyper Scan.

Reading an SSD doesn't thrash it; it's writing to it that will eventually wear it out. Methinks scans just read disks, not write to them.

I am running MBAM 2.0.3.1025 Premium, MBAE 1.04.1.1012 on 4 systems. Two W 8.1, One W 7 and one W 10. The W 8.1 and W 7 system also have Norton IS 2014 and all in realtime with no problems.

I just installed MBAE because you are not having problems. It's the free version.
I hope it also works well for me.

So now I have MBAM, MSE and MBAE all running at the same time.

Well it took it a few days to surface but the darned update bug is back for me :/
I don't get it this is a really basic function to do a update once a day
Only way it updates is via setting it to realtime check every 5 freaking minutes or the old fashioned manually
1.75... still on my laptop has no issues at all at updating once a day :/

On another note why is threat scanning once a day a default if over scanning is a bad thing,
Seems like a contradiction Mr. Thread locker

How do you get mbam to show in the area when you right click so you can scan a download?

    Thank you
