Well I got a popup that it updated pretty much at 10pm :)
Then I got another popup message saying the same thing :/

Yea MBAM can repeat messages ....

At least it works will see if tomorrow morning if it works looks promising,
I guess you need to change the timing all tasks must be set to a future time or day than what is shown as default :/

That might be the fix for you, set the task to a future date/time.

I can live with that but would of been nice to know that in advance
Let us know how it works out for you.

    fwiw
Since I posted a few hours ago, MBAM finally offered me a program Update...
I know they are throttling the roll-out, so i understand why i had to wait.
I was waiting for the program update notification so i could test a "In program GUI update" ...
The update eventually worked without needing a mbam-clean/reinstall ...
This time it only took 4 reboots to work correctly

Yep popped up only once this morning and updated
Will see if they both update again if so I'll just remove one of them probably the a.m. updater ?
P.m. is fine better than the Zero day updater and might be better than mornings for future bad updates coming in over night ruining my mornings

10pm updated with popup so I guess it's working 2 nights in a row

Still updating with a popup although set at 6 seconds to stay up doesn't seem to work seems shorter than 3 seconds too but all is good and hard to miss :)

What is the best way to upgrade Malwarebytes Pro to version 2.1.4 from 2.0.4?,i have been aware of an update but usually only scan every month, today I opened Malwarebytes and it performed a definitions update then a scan, when completed I was not prompted to update to version 2.1.4 from the program and cant seem to find a direct download link for the pro version just a link to buy the pro version which takes me to the add to cart page.
In settings I have the box ticked that says check for product update same time as definitions. In the 1.75 days I remember if there was a program update it would perform this first then update definitions but it does not seem to be doing it this way anymore.

You can download the free version from the link in Post #1 of this thread.
The free version and the paid version are the same executable, the only difference is you activate the Premium (Pro) license by entering your key and id.

You can install the download "over the top" of your current version, and that should carry forward your id and key.
    It always has for me.

They are throttling delivering the latest program version update, so you could wait a while longer and see if it offers a program update from within the program later.

No matter which way I update, from within the program or install over the top, I always check all settings.
For me some settings don't get carried forward correctly and i have to reset them the way i want them.

Make sure you have your license id and key copied somewhere safe in case you ever need them going forward.

    You're welcome.
The paid version does have real-time protection, so i have it always running.

In addition to DavidE's excellent advice, yes, you ought to be able to update to 2.1.4.1018 on top of 2.0.4.1028.
Your settings ought to be retained, as would your license info (if you were running the paid, Premium version).

However, as per this recent post by the MBAM Senior Product Manager, you might want to check a few settings after the upgrade (only one of the 3 settings applies to the Free version).

If you prefer to perform a clean upgrade or if you ever need to reinstall the program, then the "best practices" for both Free and Premium versions are in this tutorial.

Either way, it is important to reboot the computer after the upgrade when the install wizard prompts to do so.
