Windows 7: (Solution) No task manager/ No "run" command [Win 7]

I've been dealing with this problem for a few days and i finally got it after looking over different forums form random websites they all work for some people but I'm gonna try to put them all together the best i can.

First of all I got this problem from a virus like I'm sure you did. The virus also turned off my "run" command. so while i'm here i'll tell you how to turn it back on. What you need to do to turn your run back on is this

Start>control panel
Click Appearance and personalization.
Click Task bar and start menu
Go to start menu tab
Click customize (if you see a bunch of boxes already ignore this)
Scroll down and click the "run command" box to active then click ok

That SHOULD get you're run command back up.

Now one method to fix this problem is to do the following (keep up lol)

start>run
type "regedit"
It will ask for admin rights, click yes
Click the pluses in this order....
HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies\ System.
Then you should see "disable task manager" or something to that effect, simple double click or right click and click "modify" and turn the number to 0 (zero)

Another way that seemed to work well for others is simple open RUN and type in

REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

and that worked for some others, much easier but didn't work for me.

This SHOULD fix it, But unless you're like me and it DOESN'T work, there's another much simpler way.

just realized it was stupid to put the [win 7] in the title..considering this website is strictly windows 7..epic fail lol
