If it was a BSOD Please post from this tutorial:

Make sure to add the BSOD information so we can properly try to solve the problem.

Your problem is virus related. First we need to take care of that.

Use another computer to download Windows Defender Offline. Put it on a CD/DVD or bootable flash drive, and use it to find and eliminate your virus threats.

What is Windows Defender Offline?

Critical error system shutting down (continued)

Followed the link you provided and down loaded Windows Defender Offline to Flash Drive; booted netbook from flash drive and ran Windows Defender Offline in Quick mode.

It detected:
- Virus: Win32\sirefef.r
- Trojan: Win32\sirefef.ah

It was blocked from removing them by Group Policy - Error code 0x800704ec. It placed them in Quarantine and said Remove Immediately. Then it gave the container files.

Since Microsoft Security Essentials discovered 5 suspicious items I decided to run Windows Defender Offline again in Full mode. Its running now.

Please advise next step.

Use the computer like normal, and see where that goes.

Also go ahead and try to do another BSOD report.

Run WDO a couple of times after the full mode completes to make sure nothing is left. Then, boot up and do a complete scan with MSE.

Full mode is still running its about 2/3 complete. Will run WDO again, if there are no changes will run MSE with setting to remove items from computer not just put them in quarantine?
