How can i remove a rouge security system virus!!!!!!

Hey !!!!! I need your help desperately!!!


I got this virus tha acts like a security program its called "Live Security Platinum"

and i cant open any browsers nor task manager, the pc does not have a antivirus software, how can i get rid of this virus please help me !!!!!

You are going to need some expert help with this one: I suggest posting on one of the sites that have some good malware removal folks, like:

whatthetech.com
geekstogo.com
spybot.info

You could try running Malware Bytes Anti Malware (free version) and see if it finds anything. Download it on another computer. Boot to Safe Mode with Networking then install it on this computer. Let it update then do a Quick Scan, see what it finds. Let it fix everything. MBAM will not permanently fix this from what I've seen, but it may allow you to do other things that will.

Also do a scan with your installed anti-virus software in Safe Mode it if allows it.. If no help then go with one of the above sites. They are all busy so it may take a day or two before they can get to you.

Just reinstall windows

There are two ways to fight this, and both have been effective for me. You can dicsonnect your drive and connect it to another computer, then scan it with that computer's AV software. You could also get a bootable AV package, like Microsoft Security Essentials Offline, and use that to clean the system.

This malware also sets all files on the hard drive to Hidden, at least it did in the most recent one I ran into, so you also need to address fixing that, otherwise you won't see any desktop icons and most folders will not show up unless you have setup to show Hidden system files and folders.
