Need help identifying registry keys for windows services

I'm currently working on a script that will help when things get disabled by viruses and the like, and would like some help with identifying what registry keys are needed so I can then scan for the proper values, etc.

I know that the info I need is located here:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services

but what I need to know is what keys are relevant.
Windows Firewall damaged by 'Windows 7 antivirus 2012'
has the info for BFE/Windows Firewall...but I was wondering what key(s) are for Windows Update, Windows Defender, BITS, and RPC?

Is there a way I could easily trace which keys these use (maybe procmon + start/stop service...)?
