Unfortunately, it means that you have a counterfeit install of WIndows on there. - and laso what is probably a counterfeit installation of Office.

There is a hacker's Activation Exploit present, to cirumvent activation and validation requirements.

You have a Retail motherboard (from BIOSTAR) - but are attempting to use an OEM_SLP Key for activation.
The Key is from a Hewlett Packard machine.

Whatever else you do, you need to reformat and reinstall Windows using legitimate media and Key - the use of an Activation Exploit opens your system to potential multiple vulnerabilities and threats.

Thanks for the heads up Noel, but as far as I have seen the windows show that it is 100% genuine and I even use MSE which was offered right after the validation. But since you guys are experts what do you suggest me to do now and how? And what is it with my MoBo. Could you please be specific?

Hi,

Loaders/activation exploits are capable of making Windows look genuine, and on occasion fooling it into thinking it is, but the MGADIAG report never lies. Since you have a retail motherboard, the only thing you can do is purchase a new retail version of Windows 7. We cannot help you with other problems until you have done so.

Windows 7 - Microsoft Windows

Golden

A retail motherboard cannot carry a manufacturer's SLIC table - if it apparently has one, as appears here, then it MUST be due to the presence of an Activation Exploit.

windows firewall won't turn on - resolved

Finally got my windows firewall up and running. I donít know if the things I do were correct but it got the job done. I was asked by my cousin to follow these steps as he also once faced the same problem. Here are the detailed steps I followed:
-> Used Malwarebytes to scan for infections and removed those which were found.
->Downloaded following file:
-> Base Filtering Engine - Attachment 229894
->Windows firewall - Attachment 229895
->Launched the file and clicked YES at UAC prompt.
->Win+r, type regedit ---- ok
-> go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services
-> Right click on BFE ---> Permission
-> Click on ADD and type EVERYONE and click OK
-> Select EVERYONE ---> Below we have permission for users.
-> Select Full Control ----> Apply ----> Ok.
-> win+r and type services.msc and click ok.
-> Search for Base Filtering Engine and double click on it. Start the service and Startup type should be Automatic.
-> Search for Windows Firewall service and follow same steps.
This resolved the issue for my cousin, but not for me.
I still got this error when I tried to start the Windows Firewall service:
Windows could not start Windows Firewall on local computer. See Event Log, if non-windows service, contact vendor, Error code 5.
Then he asked me to download a registry key:
Shared access - Attachment 229896
-> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\SharedAccess
-> Right click on SharedAccess and select Permission
-> Click on Add and type Everyone and click ok.
-> Select Everyone and below give full rights for it as we did for BFE above.
-> Start --->Services.msc ---> Find Windows Firewall and Start the service. Startup type should be Automatic.
This finally did the trick for me. I restarted my system and ran Malwarebytes again. Just to be sure, and no threat was found. I updated the Microsoft Security Essentials and now the system is working fine as before.
Thanks for all the suggestions and support friends. I really appreciate your time and efforts... Cheers...!!!

P.S : I am not sure what all important services should be present on the system in order for windows to work fine. Is there a list of such services that I can refer to?
Thanks Vinny,
I noticed a few days ago that I had no firewall running. While investigating, I found that when running "services" there was no entry for windows firewall, or sharedaccess. Had run a couple of other reg files that already restored BFE and windows firewall services, but your sharedaccess.reg is the only one that worked to restore sharedaccess as a service. I followed your instructions as listed and my firewall service under windows 7 ultimate is finally running. Thanks again.
