    Do not have permission

I realize that this has been addressed many times in the past. My case seems peculiar. I formatted my main drive and did a fresh install of Win 7 Ultimate 64x. After doing so, some of my files on my secondary internal HD cannot be accessed. And what's interesting is that the lettering of the label are green, not black. I've tried changing the owner, I've tried setting up a new account and I cannot get access to these files. Some are vide, some are audio, and some are pictures. I've attached an image. You can see that 'Skull, Pump, and NT Cardio are a different color. Any thoughts?

Hello sxdcfv, and welcome to Seven Forums.

The green text for the folder name indicates that the folder has been encrypted using the included Windows NTFS encrypted file system (EFS).

If you did not backup your EFS cetificate from your previous installation that you encrypted them in, then you will not be able to import and restore this EFS certificate to your new installation to have full access to them again.

You could see if the 30 day free trial of the Advanced EFS Data Recoveryprogram may be able to decrypt the files. If not, I'm afraid that you permanently lost access to them.

    Hope this helps, :)
