    js

I assume you are on a home network right? port 445 is used for smb (server message block) over IP and might be needed for something like hosting a game, or rdc.

You probably couldn't close it because it was in use. If you really have to close it reboot in safe mode and close it there

Router + Firewall === problem solved.
Most consumer routers block all unsolicited ports (i.e. remote connections)

Get a port scan here: https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2

first of all do you want to close them from the internal network (assuming you have router) or from the internet (assuming that you have a NAT enabled router)?
if you doing it from external network then a nat router should stop such ports from being open....:)

to find out what port does what do this
    check out this website

    http://www.grc.com/port_XXX.htm
(in the XXX insert the port number)
it should give a good explanation..
