    Unable to install windows security essentials


    hi everyone
    i have windows 7 home premium 64bit. I was using windows security essentials but unfortunately today i got some link in facebook after clicking that link my wse icon was not visible then i uninstalled it. But after that i am unable to install windows security essentials please plzz me.. asap

    sorry it was Microsoft Security Essintials.. but the link u sent me i tried each and everything there.. after that i put thread here...

    I would do this.
    Windows Defender Offline


    Then I would remove and install a new MSE and update.
    Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows

    Then make sure you have SP-1 installed.

    Hi Pankaj,

    If this issue started occurring after doing some recent software changes on your computer, then I would suggest try restoring your system back to a date when it was working fine which might fix the issue. System Restore will affect Windows system files, programs, and registry settings only.
