Trojan horse in svchost.exe... What?

Hey.

I was checking virusses, but then I was something really strange. AVG antivirusscanner 8.5 gave a Trojan horse in 'svchost.exe'... But that's a Windows file, right?

Yes that is a system file, the reason that it its so often targeted by creators of malicious code...

Oh, sorry. I'm only 13 years old and Dutch, so my English is crap.

Err, okay. Well, just scanning and it saids this:

It was probably put there by the person who decided to distribute a pirated copy of Windows... my advice.... use legitimate software from Microsoft..

The RTM is not downloadable from Microsoft's website anymore... =O

The RC was the last Windows 7 download from Microsoft...

The RTM will not be released as a download to the general public do to it being the full edition of Windows 7

You will have to get the RC from a trusted source BUT you can still get a key from Microsoft that will last you till March 2010

Also remember that Windows 7 will release to the public October 22
