Zone Alarm Extreme Security beta good

I've been beta testing version 9.0.108.000 available now and it's the first one that hasn't given me any issues on 7. Previously, I had HDD issues and Winamp would not start properly until a complete uninstall of ZA. Those issues are fixed and system is running smooth with little or no noticable slowdowns.

You have to setup a free account to get it. Here:

If you install, disable the Windows Firewall and Windows Defender services. If you do not use the antivirus/antispyware feature of ZA, keep Windows Defender enabled.

Does it not work well with those? I would prefer to use both.

Actually, if you leave both Windows Firewall and Defender auto and running, there are no conflicts and it's cool. You know though, always the advice is to run one antivirus or firewall app at a time, so that's why I say. But ya, no problems running all 3, ZA-WF-WD all together.

Just curious. Too lazy to try it though, so not now. Maybe another time.

Zone Alarm Security and Java
I just thought I would pass this along as it took me a long time to find the answer. == If you are having a problem with Java showing in your browser, it could be because Zone Alarm is blocking it out. To clear this you need to go into your Zone Alarm Firewall and enter two IP Addresses to the...

Anyone tried Zone Alarm with Windows 7?
Anyone tried Zone Alarm with Windows 7? Versions 9.0.083.000 won't install on Windows 7 and there is an implication on the CheckPoint site that the version for Windows 7 will be called Zone Alarm 2010. Is this available yet?

MSE and Zone Alarm
I installed MSE the other day and right away had system hangs after boot. Went through the boot list and disabled things to troubleshoot. Disabled Zone Alarm True Vector and no problems. Once back online I searched for MSE problems and Zone Alarm was high on the listings. Seems MSE doesn't like ZA...
