    uTorrent spyware/virus

I downloaded the latest version of utorrent and it is filled with spyware/virus. After clicking the installation file I immediately got a warning from my firewall defense that some malware was on my system and couldn't remove it all. What can I do to remove, what software do I need or should download to clean it up?

btw I have a firewall(comodo) that comes with defense security that is not as good an antivirus but tried to stop viruses and stuff the best it can.

Download & run a full scan with MalwareBytes in my signature.

Remove check mark next to Pro version trial while installing.

So wait a minute, are you saying you downloaded utorrent and it gave you problems or are you saying you downloaded something using utorrent that gave you the problems ? I guess you didn`t scan the download b4 you opened it ?

Use Microsoft Security Essentials, Malwarebytes ( as suggested ) and or windows defender offline.

I downloaded utorrent from its website and launched the installation file the firewall defense tried stopping the spyware or whatever it was but didn't stop the installation, so I installed it and downloaded something via utorrent then uninstalled utorrent.

Is the pc running normally ?

Use the tools suggested. Comodo could say anything is spyware.

Yes the pc is running normally. But no I am pretty sure it was some virus/spyware. Currently scanning with malware bytes. Will report back once scan is done.

Any time you use a utorrant and your security programs warns you and you still download it. Well it's your fault. You just have overridden you security program. You told that program to get out of the way and let this thing in. Torrants are probably the number one way of getting infected in the first place. Now what I would do after running Malwarebytes would be to run Windows Defender Offlineas recommended by AddRAM in post #5.
    Windows Defender Offline
