Awesomiumprocess.exe? whats it?

    Awesomiumprocess.exe? whats it?


    i was playing a game and my network started lagging.

    Ping was over 200
    and i found "Awesomiumprocess.exe" from taskmanager.
    I dont know the location.

    it's connected to a bunch of game launch browsers.
    I know shogun 2 and secret world both use it.

    Honestly I think it's useless but the games may not function properly without it. It's some sort of sandboxing process meant to keep crashes localized to the launch or game menus, in order to keep the entire system from crashing in the event of a problem.

    ah yes, it's more than likely there to support all the in game spawning menus then.

    Yep, like Magus said - Awesomium is the interface system (uses Webkit so people can create interfaces in HTML/CSS/JS) - Awesomium | Web-UI Bridge for Native Apps

    (EDIT: No I don't work for them or anything, I just use it and I think it's awesome - with this being my first post I can understand how this looks...)

    I saw the process when running Gmod13 as well. Thinking it was a virus of some sort I ended the process. After that I had problems with my menu screen working at all, which makes sense from reading the above posts.
