On my Win7 x64 the damned thing cant even search for updates any more!

"Windows Count not search for new updates.
Errors found: 80070246 Windows Update encountered an unknown error"

Oh dear - I think this is the end of the road. Wholesale edits to the Registry is definitely beyond my technical limits!

updates wont install...

hello, I have these 2 updates that will not install...

Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2763523)
Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2547666)

could I get any help on how to get this working ? I am not sure if it is any related to those system updates but my Directx seems to have problems way too often. I run games on my desktop and whenever I try to open up a game it shows me a directx or direct3d error...

hope to hear from you guys soon !

thanks.
