Windows 7: Windows Personal Firewall service and Mcafee firewall not turning on

I have been dealin with this 2 days now and went through all the steps recommended by Microsoft... even downloaded Virtual tech for mcafee and FIx it for MS none worked. went to google to try to follow other advises and tried to do malware removal . after it i followed these steps:
Download both the registry files

bfe.reg

firewall.reg

Launch and import them to registry

Restart your PC

Now,open RUN and type

regedit and click ok

go to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\BFE

Right click on it-permissions

Click on ADD and type

Everyone and click ok

Now Click on Everyone



Below you have permission for users

Select full control and click ok

Now,open RUN and type

services.msc and click ok

start base filtering engine service and then windows firewall service

>>> upon tryng to start service on base filtering and windows firewall it gave the ff errors >>> please see attached screen shot.


wat to do now? help please

Hello achienina What Anti-virus program are you running?
Have you done an in-depth scan, and did it find any malware?

EDIT... oops, Windows Firewall needs to be disabled in Services in order for McAfee's firewall to work.

i did run an in depth scan, i also run a Malwarebyte and it eliminated 1 trojan last night. then after cleaning, i tried restoring the Windows Firewall and McAfee firewall but both wont work. It says that Firewall program does not exist. Even Windows update was affected.

Did you save the Malwarebyte's text log? What Trojan was found?
