Windows 7 - Any issue with Avira AntiVir..?

Hello!

I installed 7 and everything seemed fine. Then I installed Avira AntiVir (installation went fine). The first time I restarted the PC after its installation, however, windows wouldn't start, and couldn't be repaired without the Windows 7 Installation DVD. I finally restored to a point before Avira installation, but after the "succesfull" restore, avira was still there...

Do you think the issue was caused by Avira? (I manuallly uninstalled it now). Anyone with similar issues?

I have used Avira a long long time ago and don't remember much, but some programs that try to mess with any startup features or have many registry keys have problems with Seven. I will test Avira on my old PC to see if any problems occur, but I will need more details on which version you used, where was it downloaded from and what error messages appeared (if any).

it's the current version I got from the website:

Avira AntiVir Personal - FREE Antivirus

and did an installation with the default reccomended settings.

i got no particular error, windows just didnt start and said it needed to be repaired. repairing failed, until i repaired using the win 7 dvd...

Works perfectly, get the latest version though.

I have installed Avira Personal AV on Windows 7 64 bit and it runs fine.

After uninstalling Avira, I cannot connect to internet. Can you help me to see what the problem is? I had Avira premium security suit 10. I cannot connect to internet unless I restore my computer to the point before uninstalling Avira!!!

Uninstall Avira and then run this file as an administrator.

flush.bat

Run the flush.bat to repair lsp/winsock

Installing the security suite would cause Internet connection problems. I would rather install Avira Free or Premium and then COMODO Firewall.
