Error loop with microsoft account. Need to get into family safety asap

My son cannot access his home school classes because they are blocked with family safety. I cannot find help anywhere. At this point I just want to get rid of family safety and never have a need for a Microsoft account again. Can someone please help me? It shouldn't be so hard to untangle yourself from the family safety account.

Hello expectingrain, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Since you mention Microsoft account, I just need you to please clarify if this is for Windows 7 or Windows 8 first. :)

    Ok. Thank you.

You should be able to just uninstall Family Safety in Programs and Features. The link below at Microsoft can help show you how to.

How do I remove Family Safety? - Remove Family Safety

    Hope this helps, :)

    Thank you for your help!

At the end of the directions it says to go into your account and remove the parent account. Will I need to do that to be able to undo the current settings? Because that is my main problem. The error loop won't let me get into my account. I just wanted to be sure. Thanks!!!

    You're welcome.

Yes, you would want to do that step as well. However, that's only to remove your Microsoft account online at the Family Safety website, and not your actual user account on your computer though.

After uninstalling the software, sign in to Family Safety and remove the primary parent's account.

To remove the primary parent's account

    1. On any computer, go to the Family Safety website and sign in with the Microsoft account of the primary parent (the parent who installed Family Safety).
    2. Under Family Summary, click Remove a family member.
    3. Select the check box next to the name of the primary parent, click Remove, and then click Remove again.
