Windows 7: Can't delete two Avira folders

Finally, back to you ... go into safe mode to disable and delete those keys.

Jacee.....thanks for the continued help. There are so many things, and files we've looked at I lost track. Are you referring to the 17 files that Avira won't remove, in safe mode? Or some other files that we've looked at. Thanks.

When you removed did you restart the pc. Some files in the folder are still being reconised in the system as in use therefore denys it from being deleted. A restart stops the process and you should be free to delete.

Just personal experiance with doing that without restarting

Rescan with HJT, check this item:

O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {03EB0E9C-7A91-4381-A220-9B52B641CDB1} - (no file)]

Close all windows except HJT, then click 'fix checked'. Reboot.

Did you have "My Browser Toolbar" that came bundled with IObit?

I may have had it but that was all deleted when I uninstalled IObit.
