    Disinfection Precaution

First, I hope my system specs have loaded as I've just completed the tutorial here in IE9...love it.

I've received and clicked on a FWD link from a friend. She's had trouble in the past with infection of her e-mail program. While I can't identify any really telling problem as yet, I was wondering if there's something I can do that doesn't involve my resident malwarebytes and IE Essentials programs, just in case they've already been altered.

What is the best way to go? I ran an updated malwarebytes Quick Scan and was told that nothing malicious had been found, but again, what if the program has already been changed by some bug?

    Thanks,

These programs have defenses for being tampered with through the action of malware, so its extremely unlikely they will be "altered".

For peace of mind you can always run this:
    Windows Defender Offline
